got up bright and early at 7 to go to local bakers to get 2 sackfulls of old bread. then set of around 10:30am this morning on my bike to the local marina and set about chucking bread in and filling onion sack up .saw loads of mullet swimming around (4) taking the bread but not what was on my hook!
then finally after 3 trips of trying i caught one. it sucked at the bread on my hook then spat it out 3 times until finally taking it then the fight was on! because i was in a marina the fish procceded to dive and head for EVERY in sight but after a 5 min battle i finally won and landed my first mullet weighing in at 4lbs |

Thats great, Looks like determination paid off.going to have a go for mullet myself this summer I am told they can be very difficult to get to take the hook bait.
Great fish |

Well done on your first mullet and a 4lb one at that,
one of the best fights I'v had was from a mullet on a fly rod.. everytime i got him close to the net he got a new lease of life,
I havent seen any big enough to go after yet this year but I'm still looking, |
