after looking at the nfsa size limit i found that whiting limit seems a tad small or is it just me or does anyone else think the whiting size limit is a bit small 10.6 inch is not big, i think it should be 13-14 inch limit myself as it is just a nice size at 14+ inch to get a good fillet off of them.
10.6 inch whiting would give you a couple of fish fingers after you finish filleting it maybe they should think about uping some of the fish sizes.
i release any whiting under 13 inch as it is just not worth taking tiddlers home

there easy to unhook without being to rough with long nose pin pliers or forceps, but usually they don't engulf the bait to far down but you do get the odd few that do .
but i always handle with care, pritty much like i do in fresh water fishing during the summer
