hello sam

sam you can tell me to keep my nose out of this but just want to give some advice .

your getting a 7ht and salt beach and tripod and whiplash pro braid , now i gather your gonna have the braid on the 7ht , which as you said you aint used a muilty before and the 7ht is a open frame reel ( no levelwind ) and the braid don't stretch which means it will dig it's self under the line and can be dangerous if you dont know and goto cast , all im saying m8 is dont jump right in many anglers make that mistake , now rabbi2 use's braid bt after 40yrs doing this hobby he knows whats is what but as your started with your new muilty id say get mono till your 100% , some members with think im being funny but i aint only given my view.

Please dont use Braid on a new small multi.

1 It does tend to dig itself under the preceeding layers, thus causing jerky running during your cast/

2 If wound on tight, ie with a big fish on it can and will bust your spool.

3 Unless your cast is smooth then you can end up with all kinds of birds nest

4 If you do get a birds nest then you are going to lose at least half your line. Its a nightmare.

MONO IS MORE FORGIVING. keith big grin big grin big grin big grin
