I said i wouldnt reply to this again, but as your all determined to put blinkers on and gang up, Fine, read his post properly, he says he has put 30lb line on because it helps him to pull out of snags etc, he also says his mate uses 15lb line but loses tackle, which he doesnt want to do, so he doesnt want to use a line of lesser B/S, his only worry was whether it would stop him catching big fish. So why are you all trying to convert him when hes already stated his reason for using this line. there is no misunderstanding on my part, just misreading on your part.

I have'nt noticed anyone trying to convert or convince him to use anything other than what he is using , and no one has told him that he is wrong. Everyone has just given him alternative options and what he does with them is up to him. That is what a Forum is all about.
Even the original poster is confused as to what the problem.

Funny how everyone , including other moderator's , are wrong but you are the only one that is right.
I think you should look into the mirror to see who has the blinkers on.

NOW I would say that this post is moving OFF TOPIC big grin big grin

tight lines

Yeah lock this one down now as it is getting out of hand as storm says only manic has answered the question right so the rest of our opinions mustn't really matter anymore so there really is no point keeping going on and on about it.
And no one is ganging up on anyone

Because you answered questions he didnt ask, he knows about 15lb line, and doesnt want it, so why tell him to change his line. your answers are totally irrelevant, hes not an idiot, he knows he could use 15lb line, but wants to use 30lb line. whats the point in telling him he can gain another ten feet casting if he still loses rigs, which he doesnt want to do.

Yes they did, the 1st answer he received was from 4codsake.

My opinion is 30lb is too big. I use 15/18lb main line and 60lb shock. Theres no rules on what you should and shouldnt use but I would drop down a bit.

after that everyone jumped on the bandwagon.

I did answer his question and mentioned that line does not catch fish its the hook that catches the fish.
And now i really dont see the point about the sticky about line b/s and whatever as it will just go down the same road as this post has and nobody elses opinions will matter anymore

PS as my efforts to improve the site are not to your exacting standards i will now only do the job of moderator, without favour. you have made it plain fishhunter that i will fail, thats the forums loss, as i dont get paid to do any of this, but give up my time voluntary to try help others. from now on i will delete, edit, or move posts etc. but will do nothing to contribute as my efforts are not appreciated, this is my last post other than to welcome new members

You see, you dont even remember what you wrote

i really dont see the point about the sticky about line b/s and whatever as it will just go down the same road as this post has and nobody elses opinions will matter anymore

If that isnt the kiss of death for my post what is. as for being petty, i dont do it, and that response above was only for the remark you just made about my idea, nothing else. in fact i just dont know why you dragged that into this, as it would have been a selection of members opinions, not mine.

So once again i appologise if i have upset or offended you in any way as i do not mean to and is the last thing i would want to do
