Got another splash down to try after losing one with its first cast in the comp on clacton pier a couple off weeks ago. And they work a treat great to cast with. you just move the blue disc and lock the hook on. no problems with the hook coming unclipped which i find annoying angry . now just hope the price goes down.

Thats my only beef with them- the price- but like you say they work- especially great for groundcasting clipped down rigs

i have to agree with the capt on this one i feel, they are a lovely bit of kit,no worrys of unclipping before casting even with on the ground styles, but its that price, but if more anglers but them will the price go up or down? who knows

all the best

Andy

just seen them in an online shop for 2.10(2.33), here in ireland most shops sell ordinary grip leads for 1.80(2) and the breakaway ones are 2.24(2.50)

we're being completely ripped off here in ireland.

The mould is available to buy - which means that they can be made for half the shop price.
