Caught on Saturday, 37 lb on a mackerel flapper on a 6/0 hook.

Unfortunately the only one I had although my father in law had one at 36lb also.

Also had a bonus 4lb cod later in the day.

Thanks PP. Hope to get a few more before summer's done but time and tide wait for no man!! Fingers that the weather is as good for the rest of the summer as it was then. Got a multi species comp coming soon so hope to bag another tope to chalk one off the list on the day!

Only fish W Wales, all from same base but will be looking further afield in the next year or so. To be fair, apart from the fact that we're tied heavily to the tides there's plenty of fishing in the local area so not much reason to go else where.

Next trip out planned for the 30th weather depending so fingers crossed. Multi species comp this time.
