Hi Wannacatch1,

I fish Dungeness and use 2 rods, both with a pulley pennel rig. I cast one out as far as I can (which isn't really very far lol) and the other about 30 - 40 yards. That way, hopefully, I cover both more ground and increase my chance of a fish.

Good luck, Geoff happy happy happy

P.S. I still don't catch much lol!

A lot of people favor the pennel pulley. How ever a clipped down pennel rig can work well. All depends what type of ground you fish over winking

An old post of mine I know but as you can tell I'm still on a learning curve,on the pulley pennel rig is it a good idea to use squid, peeler or lug from Hayling when on the cod hunt?

DAZ cool cool

Lug and squid will be a good bait m8. You can even wrap the squid around the lug and make a sausage bait winking. If you have frozen peelers then by all means try crab and lug. Welsh black lug i found was the best lug to use winking

Most tackle shops will sell them m8. Around the 4.50 mark for 10.
