Hi everyone,

I paid a visit to veals in bristol (vealstackle.com). what can i say one of the best fishing tackle shops ive ever been in. Came back with a shakespeare salt surf rod and Salt bass. I thought the slightly heaver version would give me more flexibility. Cant wait to get to the beach with them.

I have to say that eccles was spot on about the carbon rods the extra 20 was well worth it. So thank.

Off to cornwall in a few weeks so ill let you know how i get on.

Thank
Phil

So now got yerself a Daiwa FS Reel too? Actually I use their BF5500's which are cheaper than the Opus but just as good in my experience although you may have to hunt around a bit. One of my BF5500's is now 4 years old and I fish two or three times a month so I think they are fairly reliable (no matter what anyone else may say).
