bought a pair of these from southend angling centre and tried them out today nice bite detection lots of progressive power down the blank great all round untidier rrp 100 each southend angling sold me a pair for 110 very impressed with these rods handled a 6.3 metre tide with ease but still showed great bite detection something apart from the sonic 4 or top end dawia rods can do why are every up tider on sale on the market to stiff in the tip i.e. the abu suvarans 5- 10 oz what are you doing abu the best untidier you made is now discontinued unless we all fish the bristol channel

Interesting, my old Abu uptider, still in regular use is rated at 4 - 8 ozs and is effectively a multi-purpose rod because with a 5 oz sinker on board I can cast it a fair old distance from the beach. Also because it is reasonably whippy in the top section, I use it for mackeral feather spinning too. Are you saying that all uptiders are now only for heavier fishing?
