Fished Hythe Tuesday (8th) for two and a half hours (time was limited) - 2 hours before high tide and 30 mins after. Had 25 plus smallish Whiting (7 to 9 inches typically), a small dogfish and a smallish Thornie (about 2lbs). Used squid and makeral in a 2 hook paternoster. Weather was grey and reasonably still and mild enough to wear only a fleece and not to need a a jacket.
As a side note, I fished Walmer a week earlier and sat in sunshine in a T shirt with the sun blazing and the water like a mirror. Caught 2 tiny Dabs (I think) and w Lesser Weaver Fish.
I now just hope the fishing stays productive and fish size increases...........enjoy!
