I have heard of one off Haslar wall, and one at Clarence Beach. Had a go at Clarence last week but blanked. I did see a seal down there for the first time though!
Shouldn't be long now though, I'll be fishing Clarence for them again soon. I use a slightly bigger lead than normal and put split shot on the hooklengths too. I use rag on small hooks and try all different ranges, sometimes they are close in sometimes they are further out and sometimes the seals scare them away! lol. |

Griff hi , have to agree with gazza , taddiford used to be the hot spot , produces more slips than sole these days , as like many venues , marchwood is producing sole up to 2 1/2 lbs , and i dont mean snaggy alley , have a bash at cracknore hard , and lob a rag bait out towards the yellow bouy , you cant miss it , nearest place (legally fishable) to the said sole mark ,

TBH i would advise against fishing Taddiford as still problem with leaving cars safe!!. Few comps cancelled recently down there due to Break-ins, Fuel thefts, burnt outs etc. Is it worth losing your motor for a few fish?... |

WR300 is right about the break in's the carpark its self is not lite up at night and is really away from most active places , once you park up and walk down the cutway to the cliff top , i dont think you hear or see nowt till you got back to the car thats if its still there , but funny enough if you didnt buy a parking ticket im sure you would have a nice little note from the parking attndent .
