Hi, looking to change to braid looking at 80lb i reckon. need something to give me more connection to the fish when i am boat fishing. Just curious weather its normal to put some weaker mono near the hooks so when you get snagged on a wreak you dont lose your braid (cos it aint cheap!!)
Cheers for any advice. |

| I would have thought that you would use a mono trace with mono for your hooks. Ron Thompson Cable Braid is the best I have used at 80lb. keith |

| I always have 20ft of mono as a rubbing trace for the leads to run on and to take any abrasion when baiting or landing fish, it`s also easier to untangle hook rigs from than braid so if you`r using 80lb braid stick some good quality 30-50lb mono on.......sniggle |

Trouble is I can't find any on the Net. The one place that comes up when you search is http://seatackle.co.uk/Default.aspx?go=ProductDisplay&ProductID=5560 but they are out of stock and I have been waiting for over a month whilst they try to source it from their supplier. |
