I have one and it is a good rod but has had a few problems(mainly the rings which keep breaking when casting)I replaced them with a different set of fuji rings and it is now one of my favorite rods.I wrote a review on it in the review section 8)

Hi,
I've got a pair of the K2 fifteen footers and also had problems with the rings on these rods , i had the centre of a tip eye come out of the frame because a leader knot with some weed on got jammed in it while reeling in !
Also fished a very rough night and a freak gust blew both rods out of the rest and onto the beach when my back was turned, typical !!
Result was a broken tip eye on one rod and the second eye down broken on the next rod ( had only used them twice before! ) was really p'd off as you can imagine!
Had to wait 'three weeks' for replacement eyes from Shakespeare as they had none of the special K2 eyes with the triangular centres in stock.
Spoke to Mike Perfect at Prime Angling Worthing and he'd had the centres of K2 eyes shatter easily and knows others that have had the same problem !
Trouble is that although these eyes are ultra low friction guides purpose built for fixed spools, they are no where near as strong as Fuji's with the yellow luminous shock absorbing ring, the centres are 'very' 'very' brittle! so 'be warned'! the performance of the rod is great and not too heavy for the length but a lot of people who have them have changed the eyes to Fuji's to avoid further problems which you shouldn't really have to do on a new rod ! |

| look mate this will be the best advise i can give you stay well away. eyes fail, break shatter in there rings, one smoothhound pulled the rod over, from its 45 angle from the floor on sand and the tip snapped, look on e-bay for a real good second hand rod,so many good ones, always ask the age of the guy you buy from, the older the better (not always but alot of the time the rod have been well looked after) for the price you can pick from zipplex, grays, century. just not k2 |

Fished with a K2 Titanium 15ft last night for the first time. It was bought for my partner to use as she will only fish with fixed spool reels. Very Light and very easy to cast. She was achieving distances of 60 yds with a gentle overhead cast 5oz lead. This is her 3rd time fishing now so still a novice. I had a few casts and was suprised how far it would go with very little effort. Not sure though if the surf got up and got windy whether it would be the esiest thing to use only time will tell. The other thing that has been mentioned be interested to see how long the rings last.
Would recommend this rod as especially as Gerrys of morecambe only charged me £107.99 for it as for this money reckon a bargain at mo.
regards
