I am looking to buy a vercelli Spyra Fiamma (100-200g,4.2m) fishing rod Does anyone have any information on these rods or any experiences. I will be fishing predominately South Wales fishing Marks. Also what would be the best fixed spoon reel for this rod.

Many thanks happy

Seems very pricey but made of good materials although I have no experience myself. I have happily used Abu Garcia Rods of similar size and construction for some years now for only half the price. As far as FS reels are concerned, I have no hesitation in recommending Daiwa. They have several reliable models in their range which cast well and they are always happy to help with spares at reasonable cost should you need them.

No I don't use Daiwa rods, look again at my post. I use Abu Garcia 4.2 m Hellbenders - cost me about 140 each at the time which was a few years ago.
