After a lengthy break and a cardiac arrest thought I should once again start boring people here with a few posts.

Fished Walmer (opposite the castle) yesterday from 10.30 am to 2.30 pm (2 hours before and after high tide). Nothing until high tide except tons of weed, even when fishing close in. As soon as high tide was reached I gambled that the weed would drop out of the water and cast long and withing 5 mins had a dogfish. After that 1 red gurnard and 5 whiting. Things went dead again from 2.10pm.

Fished with 2 hook paternoster rigs using makerel fillets and squid.
