ihave killed far more fish accidently deep hooking them sea fishing than i have ever used as live baits freshwater fishing.....live baiting is unusal in lakes nowdays,,,,

winter fishing mark

I wonder if anyone knows a good winter fishing mark around the canvey island area? i have heard of a place called the drop where deep water is fairly close in. I know the lobster smack pub so if anyone could give me directions from there i would appreciate it.......The normal place i fish is thuuroc...

i gut all fish as soon as poss...........although i have bought them with guts in from fishmongers.......i think they smell less done early........nothing like the smell of fish to put you off fish.........fresh fish smells of the sea.....but this is my opinion........

yes they are ok to eat...............but i must admit they get knocked for 6 compared to bass or sole................but i still eat them.......lol,,,,,

purfleet catch report

Three of us headed down to purfleet ........we fished 2 hours up and 1 down............not a bad day 4 eels.........a few small bass........3 of which were 2lb......and a big flounder.......all fish fell to flappers with lug ......no bites on the squid......could have caught more but we took to many...
