well done on the monster pout, never seen one that big. the one i catch are usualy only about 15cm. sounds like you had a good time mate.

thanks for the sound advise. I kind a thought getting the rod higher would help, hense the longner rod advise post.

Thanks for your pearls of wisdom, i'm hoping to pop into veals over the weekend to have a look. i'll certainly check out your recomendations. I'm currently using two diawa opus 5500 reals which i'm happy with. there is probably no reason to up grade these.

Back from wittering

hi all, I went down to the caravan for a few days over half term. unfortunatley it was a bit rough. I had a go on thurs night around 8 ish for a couple of hours, but i got fed up with the weed jaming into my top of my rod. if there is any technique i could lern to prevent this let me know. best wish...

Hi guys, sorry I haven't posted in a while, I haven't been up to much. went down to the caravan last weekend and gave west beach a go. I fished from 5:30 to just after dark. only managed a small eel of about 12". unfortunately I think the timing of my visit with the tides wasn't great. I guess a hig...
