bollies

has anyone eve used fresh water baits for sea fishing?? is it even possible or worth it?
its just that yorkshire trading have a selection of inexpensive bollies etc...
so wondering if they are worth a try

Imho the fish that are caught on boilies are captive in a lake or stretch of river. They are 'turned on' to feeding on boilies which they cannot fail to come across as they are ladled into the water by the kilo.
I think the money would be better invested in some mackerel feathers to give fresh mackerel or a fork to dig lug and rag.

They might work but given the range of fresh and frozen baits available to the sea angler I can't see any reason why you'd want to try boilies anyway.
