rasor fish and cuttle fish

Post by simonhayes1979 »

I'm thinking about maybe trying cuttle fish and razor fish this year but don't know what to do with it. Anyone got any info on how to prepare, hook and use these baits.

Cheers Guys

Simon

Hi mate

Never had much luck with either but thats probably just me :((

For the razor fish just cut off a 2 to 3 inch strip and thread it on the hook like you would a worm and secure it with bait elastic.

Cuttle fish is supposed to be good for bass so i have heard, but never caught one on it.

Tight lines

cuttlefsh.

get a sharp knife.

slowly run it the length of the body avoiding the head!

take out the small white budgie bone out the middle.

get a sharp 8/0 o'shaunassy hook thread it through th body once. then go through again still watch out for the head.

(the head is absolutely full of black ink and it stinks!)

tight lines. B-) B-)
