looking at fishing oxwich at the weekend, any advice please? rigs, bait, surf or rocks etc!!! the bandit! :-/

I've had more luck from the surf there than the rocks. The rocks opposite the church seem very popular with people but i've never caught anything from them. The point is supposed to be productive but it's a hefty walk even if you're reasonably fit. Possibly a tackle graveyard there.

Last time I was at oxwich I saw a washed up thorn back near the church rocks and it looked like it'd be near the 6-8 lb mark. Also saw a porpoise ( I think) hanging around at the entrance of the bay staying away from the 3 fishing boats that always seem to be there. X(


Lug worm, mussels and peeler crab are the baits i've used there. Hope this helps you a bit
