Glad you took it well, I am now going to write properly as I usually do. I have a friend who lives at Bishopston who I occasionally visit so I do know they area a bit.
I have often thought that it should be possible to find Dover Sole in Swansea Bay but never really tried it. Of course one needs to use the right kit, etc., which is small hooks, short snoods and lug for bait. They are not usually in shore until the water is a bit warmer, say August to October. It also needs to be a dark quiet night with not too big a tide and preferably with a sandy bottom nearby. Perhaps you could try it sometime but don't strike, just keep quiet and wait until you get at least a couple of good pulls then reel in.
My pal is a member of the Mumbles Sea Angling Club which is one of the best I have ever come across, not sure what they charge but well worth it if you can afford it.
