Rhyl

Hi all.
I am going to Rhyl next week and wanted to take my young lads sea fishing for mackerel on the shore. I have no experience and was just going to use some shiny hooks/spinners.
Could anyone please give me some advice on this adventure :)

Many thanks in advance.

Jon

You might be better off using a 3 hook flapper with either lugworm or mackerel strip to increase your chances of catching. Mackerel would be the cheaper option as you can obtain it at your local fish market.

Thanks for your help and reply Keith. Is there any rocks or something I can fish off at Rhyl?

A good place not too far away would be the rocks at Llandudno. I would sugest float fishing using a single hook or a 2 hook flapper.
The pier at Llandudno is very small and is usually crowded so I would avoid it.
