Boat report, Gwbert 31/5

Post by SeaSickSmiffy »

Finally managed to break the boat virginity at the weekend!

Launched from Gwbert on the rising tide at approx 8:15 am. As it was only the 3rd luanch and the first proper fishing trip we followed a couple of other small boats around the headland. Started off with feathers on one rod and hoki in the other. Nothing much showing on the sounder but managed to hook a couple of decent mackerel. Nothing followed so moved over to the other side of the bay and swapped the feathers for a running trace with maccy bait. Father in law then had a couple of mackerel and the smallest pouting ever on the hokis and I got a couple of small doggies and a not quite so small pouting.

Nothing major to write home about in the grand scheme of things but very happy to break the boat angling virginity!
