i went fishing this morning in the humber i knew i would be in trouble if i got a decent fish and thats wat happend my slammed down i knew right away this was a decent fish i could not do anything with it so much so that my reel is now in the dustbin it is full of iron filings so i had to handball it in then then climb over a metal fence down a slope so i could use my drop net i pulled the cods head up to get the net under it wen the hook pulled out they could here me screaming all over the river it was not a cheap reel it was a century

there was some nice fish in the river today a 13lb cod came out vicky dock a 10lb cod came out kinh george dock my cod slipped back in to the river and the reel slipped in to the bin but ill be back there

this will not happen again ive bought a 17ft man help from b&q and got a meat hook from the local butchers so i can cow gaff them from the water instead of trying to get them into a drop net its telescopic and fits in to my rod bag
